Montes del Plata (MDP) is a pulp mill of 5000 ADt/D, first of its kind in Uruguay.

The scope of the project was to build a simulator using IDEAS software for Brown Stock Washing, O2 Delignification and screening area of the pulp mill. I had to travel to Uruguay for the final staging and delivery of the model.

I was working along with the Honeywell DCS engineers and MDP operators to provide them with the high quality model which will cater their needs and requirements for satisfactory training of their operators.

Various Scenarios, introducing various failures in the mill, were also included in the model which were modeled on site.

After successful completion of the JCAT of these area, I was also responsible for monitoring operator training and for simulation support for various areas like :

1 - Digestor
2 - Brown Stock Washing
3 - Bleaching
4 - Pulp Dryer
5- White Liquor Plant
6 - Demin Plant
7 - Evaporation Plant
8 - Recovery Boiler
9 - power Boiler
